Protecting Ones Family.

Terri looks down range at the targets and she looks down the sight at the target as she fires off a shot and it hits the wall behind the target as she sighs looking at the horrible shot, "I know how to maintain a gun but I was never taught how to fire one so its understandable my first shot would miss horribly like that".

Makai stood behind her crouched. he placed his hands over hers that were on the gun, "with a gun you squeeze the trigger don't pull." he slwoly squeezed the trigger, 'And aim carefully." The bullet sailed through the air hitting one of the closer targets. it didn';t hit a bulls eye but it struck one of the out rings.

Terri looks suprised but has a small smile on her face as she hits an outer ring this time with his help and she looks at Makai, "So that is why my shot was so badly off target the last time right sensei?".

Terri aims carefully at the target again and squeezes the trigger firing another shot hitting the second ring in not closer to the middle ring though.

Makai smiled at her and ruffled her hair, 'Good Girl go again." Makai raised a gun and fired a bullet through the holes shot made. His bullet sflor down the back striking two bullets eyes in two different targets right behind hers.

Terri nods as she takes aim again and squeezes the trigger firing off one shot that hits the 4th ring in and she focuses again and squeezes the trigger again and hits a bit closer in then the last time but only a couple of inches from the last shot.

Makai sat in a chair watching her. he had a pack of bulelts beside her. The gun held a 12 round magazine.

Terri aims downrange again and fires another 3 shots off one after the other each hitting one of the rings on the target as she continues to fire until she runs out of rounds in her gun her forhead glistening with sweat.

Makai smiled at her. He gently patted her on the head.

Smiling slightly Terri asks him softly, "So how do you think I did with this being my first time shooting a gun Sensei?".

Makai smiled and patted her on the forehead, "You did well for your first time."

Terri nods slightly glad for the praise but does not let it go to her head, "Wow having the skill to shoot a gun comes in handy especially if your short to mid range and your fighting a long range fighter".

Makai gsmiled at her and got up, 'Yes it does."

Terri nods as she makes sure to have the gun not pointed at anyone and that the safety is on, "So what is next sensei?".

he looked at her with a blank expression, 'Your gun trainings not over. Go back to firing at those targets. You were hitting at a regular distance 10 metres. Go 20 metres."

Nodding and without complaint moves out to 20 meters and reloads her gun and then takes her first shot while trying to focus on the target downrange and squeezes off a shoot which misses the target because she forgot to adjust her aim and she readjusts her aim and the next shot hits the middle of the second ring on the target and she continues to hit the targets with better accurracy.

makai raised a gun without even looking he fired. A bullet flew straight past Terri's face just missing her. it flew past and struck a bulls eye.

Terri does not even flinch and she looks at where the bullet went and hit and she wonders if she can even hit the bulls eye she knows for her first lesson it would be impossible to hit the bulls eye as she continues to unload her guns bullets into the target as her last shot hit just at the edge of the bulls eye.

Makai yawned and watched with one eye open.

Terri reloads her gun and makes sure that all the mechanisms are still good since she has been using it they might have some gunk or damage somehow as she then takes another shot at the target and this time she hits dead on center in the bulls eye and she is shocked and is not sure she is seeing it right but then moves out to 30 yards and starts the practice over.

Makai yawned, 'This exercise won't be finished until you can hit a bulls eye 5 times in a row from...150 yards."

Terri does not blink and she hides her suprise at how far out she has to be and how many times she needs to hit it and she gulps softly and then asks, "Just how far away is a 150 yard sensei?".

makai yawned and pointed to the back of the shooting range, 'This range is exactly 150 yards long."

Terri nods as she goes to the full range intending to do this from the full length from the get go and fires her first shot and watches it not even hit the target because she has yet again forgot to adjust her target range as she goes about doing that and prepares to fire again.

Makai yaned, "Your suppose to go up by 10 yards each time. Don't make me make you restart the exercise."

Terri winces as she then goes to the proper range 30 yards and begins to squeeze off shots the first one hitting the second ring out and then the next hitting dead center of the second ring out and the following ones get more accurrate as she adjusts the range and the height of the barrel.
